Based in northern New Jersey, 2-8-2 Productions is a 3-person operation dedicated to providing the railfan community with DVDs of modern railroad action.
We're smaller than the "big guys" and that's okay with us. As we grow, we'll add more movies, more employees, and more fans.
My name is Mike Hammond (hence the "2-8-2"/Mikado in the name) and I've been a railfan since I could stand up in my highchair and chant "Cha-cha, Cha-cha" every time an Erie Lackawanna
train rumbled past my upstate New York home. My love for trains has taken the form of filming the action taking place on today's rails for both current and historical interest. I know that the things
we are seeing today will not be around forever because the railroads are constantly changing, updating, and hopefully getting better and more efficient.
I'm the owner and principal videographer in addition to doing the editing, advertising, packaging, and shipping. I'm the one you'll hear from when you
contact us with questions or suggestions.
Carmen is my right hand when it comes to working with overall ideas for marketing and packaging. She has been indespensible!
Dan has been there to answer IT questions and when I needed website development. He's an IT whiz and his help is, as always, very much appreciated!
I take as much time and care as necessary to ensure that every DVD I film, edit, and narrate is one which will entertain my fellow railfans and keep them
coming back to see what new DVDs are on the way. That's why I stand behind every DVD I produce and believe they are a great addition to any current library.
